Eclipse 3.4 and Flex Builder Eclipse Plugin
Posted on 13 May 2009
For quite a while now I have bounced back and forth between Adobe’s Flex Builder IDE and Eclipse with the Flex Builder plugin.
The reason for me being so indecisive was that the Flex Builder plugin would never work correctly out-of-the-box with the latest release of Eclipse. There were always hacks out there of some type to get them to work together, but I longed for some smooth integration.
Well, inspired today by a tweet from Duane Nickull (Adobe technology evangelist) regarding Eclipse 3.4, I thought to give it a shot as it had been a few months since my last flip/flop.
To my surprise, Eclipse Classic 3.4.2 and the most recent Flex Builder Eclipse plugin play together quite nicely.

Now, just a few quick steps and I’ll have Eclipse sporting the much cooler Flex logo as the icon.
